In memory of the most amazing man in my life, Tommy Eardley. Born 13th of August 1937, passed away
4th of September 2006, aged 69. I miss you more than anything Grandad.
You were an inspiration to everyone Grandad, including me. You never let me down and were always
there for me when i needed you, and i can't thank you enough.
On the 4th of September 2006, God took you to live with him and the angels in heaven, I know this
was far too soon for you to go, but I knew you were at peace, you weren't suffering anymore. You
were 69 years old, and had been diagnosed with cancer, it had devastated the whole family, so i
think everyone was happy that you weren't suffering anymore. You didn't deserve anything like that
Grandad, it must be true that God really does take the best!
There isn't one single day where i don't think of you, but I know that your up there looking over
me, guiding me, just like you always did. I know you will be forever shining over Grandma -
Geraldine, my Dad - Paul, Uncle Jimmy and Uncle Steven, Josh, Jake and Me, aswell as the rest of
your family and friends.
I made you one promise, and that was to always look after my Grandma, your wonderful, beautiful
wife. I know, as much as anyone, that she is always thinking of you, and loves you dearly, just like
the whole of your family does. You made her more than happy. I will keep that promise I made to you,
dont worry Grandad.
I love you more than anything in this world Grandad, and i want to say thank you for everything you
ever did for me. God took you from us far too soon, but those 15 years of my life that i spent with
you couldn't have been made happier when i was with you and Grandma.
Sweet dreams Grandad, rest in peace. Until we meet again, i love you forever + ever,
your Granddaughter - Christie Leanne xxx

Sometimes its hard to understand,
Why certain things must be,
And the reasons why they happen,
Are often hard to see,
Flowers and leaves may wither,
The evening sun may set,
But the hearts that truly love you,
Are the ones that wont forget.

2nd Anniversary
Dearest Tommy, I cant believe its 2 yrs that since you passed away, we think about you always and miss you with every beat of our hearts.
We'll be coming to your resting place later on today to place some flowers and calling to see Geraldine to give her a big hug. She misses you so so much Tommy but I know you watch over her every minute of every day.
God Bless you Tommy today and every day, love and miss you always, Carol xxx
Christie Did You Proud
Well Tommy, Christie did absolutely fantastic in her GCSE's and you would have been so very very proud of her achievements.
She got an A Grade in Core Science, B Grades in Additional Science, Maths, Geography, Spanish and RE and a C Grade in English Language, English Literature and History.
We are all so proud of her Tommy, and I know that up in heaven you will be celebrating her success and singing her praises to anyone who will listen to you.
On Monday I took Geraldine to the pictures to see Mama Mia - ooh Tommy she loved it - she sat bopping along to it and tapping her hands on her knees, she even shed a tear or two at the wedding and I'm sure her thoughts would have been of you.
Its good to see Geraldine getting better, she came back to our house for tea and seemed to enjoy the day.
Josh starts back in school next week so we will need your lucky thoughts as he will hopefully be getting his SATs results.
Well for now Tommy, I will send you my love and prayers. Miss you so much.
Love always Carol xx
Send lots of love
Well Tommy, today is the day that Christie gets her GCSE results, please send lots of love to her and lots of wishes that she has done well - I'm sure you will be watching over her as we go to school to collect the results....Hope you are well and enjoyed your birthday last week. Hope you liked the roses that we brought to your grave.
Geraldine is getting better every day that passes and we will be going to the pictures over the weekend hopefully if she's up to it - she wants to see Mama Mia.
Well for now Tommy, take care, and surround us with your love especially later in the day when we go for the exam results.
Miss ya so much Tommy, love and kisses as always Carol xx

HAPPY 71ST BIRTHDAY
Well Tommy its your birthday today and we wish you a very very happy 71st birthday, your 2nd birthday away from us.
Josh and I have just raised a glass of wine to you for your special day and wished you happy birthday.
We all miss you very much and at times like this we always look back to birthdays gone by. I remember wen I was expecting Alicia and told you under no circumstance was I gonna give birth on your birthday as my mums and Johns dads are so close...and wot goes an happens - my waters break at 5.00am on Wed 13 August. Now if it had been the same as Christie and Josh's births, Alicia wud have arrived on your birthday, which I really wouldn't have minded, but no the little madam held on until 5.31am on 14th August..
Your birthday is a day we will never forget, you were too very special to ever forget an important date like your birthday.
Celebrate today with the ones close to you in Heaven, we will be calling to your graveside later with some flowers, so pls very kindly send the sun not the rain....we will also be seeing Geraldine who misses you so very very much.
For now Tommy, take care, Happy Birthday to the best father-in-law I could have had, even if I didnt know it at the time.
Sweet dreams Tommy, love and hugs always XXX

thinkin of ya
Hi Tommy, not been on for a while, but on 2nd June we had a bbq and Geraldine came, it was lovely seeing her again, she was laughin about how you always used to take over at any bbq's you went to, got your apron and hat on and cooked the food!! Sure you were watching over us that night as every night.
I know you will be surrounding Geraldine with your love, give her the strength to get better whilst she's in hospital, we love her and wish her a speedy recovery. Surround your family with lots of love and support, its a difficult time for them.
Hope you are doing well with your friends in heaven, take care Tommy, God Bless ya, we miss ya so much.
Love always Carol xx
